The RVG is based on the island of Emerald, found to the west after about a week of sailing. It is about 30 miles across and dominated by a tall single mountain peak surrounded by broken hills; the habitable area is a ring of thick forest along the coast. There are farms and a small iron mine.
The leader is Macond Foll, a strong fighter and exile from the Empire, and his wife Charith, a shaman.
The RVG is a low level nuisance that only survives because there is no central power to go stomp them flat.
The lost of Rind (the island the group currently lives on) has cost the gang dearly and they will have to rebuild and accumulate more slaves and resources to try to expand again, if they don't fall aprt and break up.
They have no resources hidden anywhere that the local gang members were aware of and live hand to mouth, generating little in the way of surpluses.
