Kebsekru is divided into two parts, Upper and Lower. Upper Kebsekru is the home of most of the population and is heavily farmed along the banks of the Hacheb River. Lower Kebsekru is the frontier, divided from the Upper lands by the cliffs called the Ramparts of Devotion, and its small population is found around the shores of Lake Hacheb at the foot of the cliffs where the river falls from above. Kebsekru is ruled by the Sapphire Queen, named Nefretani Firewitch, also known as the Consort of Demons.
Lower Kebsekru is home to the Zavaskir, a species of intelligent velociraptors distantly related to dragon-kind. They are divided into mutually hostile tribes, the Vaskinith tribe (with red and gold scales), allied to Kebsekru, and the Chabrolith tribe (with blue and purple scales). The group has rescued Tazab of the Chabrolith tribe from being sacrificed by the followers of the Sapphire Queen.
The group has also rescued Hamaska, a spirit of some sort residing in a ruby skull, who claims to have been a mighty wizard and has offered his services as a guide and source of information.
Passage out of Kebsekru is through the Underworld (as the locals call it), tunnels that lead to an underground town called Brazat; ruled by a species known as the Mush'qeen (serpent-like beings that can change their shape from pure serpents to serpents with arms to fully humanoid serpent-men).
