Limmaril and Vornigan are two cities locked in war, a war that rages throughout the undergrounds ways and hidden valleys of the Broken Land. Limmaril is a city of Elves hidden in a forested valley devoted to the pursuit of art. Vornigan is an underground city of humans, highly skilled craftsmen and master stone masons, who are insular and distrustful of outsiders. Their culture values gravely formal social rituals.

They do not fight directly, instead choosing to conduct the war through proxies, allies among the other cities of the Broken Lands.
