Contacts A contact is someone the character knows who can provide information and do unglamourous legwork while the character is off doing something exciting.
Level 1: Someone who knows the characters but has no bond with them, this type of contact provides an impersonal service and knows little about the character. Trivial requests cost 50G; otherwise the cost for information is 1D10X50G.
Level 2: This is a casual friend who may help out but who has limited loyalty under extreme pressure.
Level 3: This is an old friend, old college roommate, old cellmate, etc. who will drop everything to help the character.
Research Cyberspace contains a vast amount of email, forum posts, web articles, chat logs, and forgotten data. Deckers can use search programs to dig through this mass of information using a Computer skill roll with a base time of 2D10 hours. The number of simultaneous research projects a decker can run at once is based on INT due to the need to monitor a search and tune and adjust the search parameters.
INT 5-8: 1 research project INT 9-14: 2 research projects INT 15+: 3 research projects
