Episode 7, Mission Briefing
Three days after you return from your last mission Ziggy sends out an alert to your comms, he is scrambling you for immediately lift off.
Tonnim Felmarid, Pyramid Corp's primary administrator for the Artoth-3 sub-surface station, has requested that Ziggy send a team to the station to investigate an incident. He wants to avoid Imperial notice of this situation.
Background: the old mining tunnels dug by unknown hands eons ago have been used by pirates and smugglers for centuries (or more) before Pyramid Corp took over and installed life support and other infrastructure into a large section of tunnels. Trash and abandoned cargo litter some tunnels and chambers, supporting a strong scavenger economy.
One day ago a scavenger apparently went berserk and killed several people in a chamber they were sifting through and then drove through the station to the port, leaving a trail of death and destruction in his wake, and stole a starship. The ship's location is currently unknown. Witnesses report that the scavenger used powerful destructive magic.
The suspect has been tentatively identified as Donnalmir Haldrath, male lashunta, age 32. He was born on Magradore Station and received a standard education, specialising in Civil Engineering. He worked in the Life Support division on Magradore Station for 5 years before he was fired for drug addiction. He shipped out on a freighter and dropped off the grid shortly thereafter and there is no knowledge of his activities for the last 5 years.
Objectives: travel to Artoth-3 and investigate the situation and determine what happened. Ziggy and Pyramid Corp will try to find the stolen ship and give you the location so the team can recover it and apprehend the crazy scavenger.
Notes: it will take 2-3 days to fly to Artoth-3 and the radio transmission delay to the station is 46 minutes.
Ziggy will inform the team that Imperial Secret Service has passed the word that they are interested in this incident and encouraged him to deploy the team to resolve it.
