This part of the galaxy was first explored by the infamous Ysoki pirate Slanq 241 years ago in a search for a hidden base of operations. Pirate activity eventually provoked an Imperial response 203 years ago, in the form of a Naval flotilla that defeated the pirate fleet decisively at the Battle of 104 Pianos. The collection of five systems is commonly known as Slanq's Sack despite the efforts of Imperial Stellar Cartographers.
Artoth: a sun with 3 planets, all lifeless rocks that were extensively mined tens of thousands of years ago by parties unknown. Home to Magradore Station. This system is Remote (2x Vast) distance from the next nearest Imperial system.
Taelu: a binary system with a broad asteroid belt that is being mined and two Forerunner monuments in a distant orbit.
Noskeen: a sun with 8 planets. This is the most developed, populated, civilized, and controlled system in the Sack.
Vothe: a sun with 6 planets. The third planet, Ealish, is habitable and the home to a medieval-level magic based culture featuring warring factions of elves, orcs, trolls, and other species that were badly abused both by pirates and later explorers and now have a very poor opinion of off-world visitors. The fifth planet, Parunnal, is a gas giant with many moons of varying sizes (up to planetary), including several airless moons that are inhabited by undead.
Ordell: a sun with 4 planets set at 4 equidistant points along the same orbit with an asteroid belt beyond that orbit. Each planet features one biome with appropriate life forms; desert, ocean, forest, and arctic. It has been suggested that the entire system may be a Forerunner monument.
